Mountain expeditions are used as a symbolic way to represent the difficult journeys many women and children face. Climbers take on demanding routes while raising awareness and funds for organizations working on these issues.
Adventure International has supported Freedom Climb expeditions in mountain destinations including Nepal and Kilimanjaro. The mountains provide a powerful setting for participants to challenge themselves while giving a voice to a wider humanitarian cause.
