Less well known than Rwanda for its mountain gorilla experience, Uganda boasts more challenging terrain and far fewer people, offering a more pure and authentic encounter. There is fantastic big game viewing in Uganda, tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and some of the largest Nile crocodiles in the world. Whether watching wildlife on the shores of Africa's Great Lakes or finding your thrills on the rapids of the famous Nile, the warmth of the people will make you feel at home.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast you are transferred to catch a scheduled charter flight to Kisoro. Upon arrival you are personally met and transferred to your lodge overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park — one of the richest ecosystems in Africa with over 90 mammals, 346 bird species, 202 butterflies, and 163 tree species. Mountain Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, prepare for an unforgettable experience. Head to park headquarters for a pre-tracking briefing about the gorilla family you will follow. At 9:00am, set off into the forest in the footsteps of the mountain gorillas. The trek — climbing up and down through steep forested terrain — is exhausting, but coming face to face with these giant primates and spending one magical hour with them as they go about their daily lives more than compensates. En route, rich birdlife and primates including red-tailed monkeys, black and white Colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked Mangabeys. Overnight Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Second Gorilla Tracking Day
Awake for another great day with the gorillas. Option to visit the same family or choose a different habituated group for a more rounded experience. After lunch, an afternoon guided nature walk in the Bwindi forest exploring the smaller animals, birds, and extraordinary flora of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entebbe / Depart
