Adventure International’s Nepal team has completed Wilderness First Responder training through NOLS, strengthening the team’s ability to make medical and evacuation decisions in remote mountain environments.
Wilderness First Responder training combines classroom learning with realistic outdoor scenarios. Participants practice assessing patients, managing injuries and illness, and making evacuation decisions when professional medical care may be hours or days away.
This type of training is especially relevant in the Himalayas, where changing weather, altitude and remote terrain can quickly complicate an otherwise straightforward situation. It is one part of an ongoing commitment to strong guiding standards and safer trekking operations.
