African Surfari Itinerary

Day 1: DURBAN
Upon arrival intoDurban King Shaka International airport you are personally met and transferred to your private self-catering apartment in Umhlanga Rocks. This evening you go out to a local restaurant for dinner and have a briefing about your trip ahead.Overnight Private Apartment Umhlanga (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: PUNTA DO OURO
Todayafter breakfast you depart KwaZulu-Natal and head to towards Mozambique. After some formalities at the border you continue through sand dunes and 4 x 4 terrain to get to the coast town of Punta do Ouro only 10km from the South African border. Here you notice locals speaking Portuguese and a slow pace of life based on the ocean. You go surfing this evening and enjoy the Indian Ocean. You enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 3 & 4: PUNTA DO OURO
You enjoy a couple full days of beach time. You have options to surf as much as you want and even go explore other breaks in the area further afield to experience different coves andwaves. Ultimate surfing paradise!

Day 5: UMFOLOZI-HLUHLEWE
Today you have the option to have a last morning surfing session before departing to the South Africa border or leave as early as you want. You make your way across the border again and back onto tarmac road for Umfolozi-HluhleweGame Reserve. You game drive your way into camp. After lunch youenjoy a game drive at leisure!

Day 6 & 7: UMFOLOZI / HLUHLEWE
Umfolozi-Hluhlewe is a large and incredibly scenic park with rippling hills. The north of the park is more rugged and mountainous with forests and grasslands, while the south and west is more undulating with open savannah. The park contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora and is particularly famous for its conservation of black and white rhino. It contains hundreds of endangered black rhino and the largest population of white rhino in the world.The park is the only state-run park in KwaZulu-Natal where all the Big FiveGame occur.

Day 8: DURBAN
After an early morning game drive and breakfast you are picked up by your guide and make your way towards Umhlanga Rocks. You are able to relax and re pack in your private apartment before your departures. You even have the option to go for an afternoon surf session in front of your place if you desire and take a final dip in the Indian Ocean.

Day 9: DEPART
You are transferred to Durban King Shaka International airport for departures. (Breakfast)
